In reply to Bengy - you cant have read the earlier posts. I referred to wearing a t-shirt in the pool in preference to having to clean the pool of the grease deposited on the waterline by suncream.

Do you not put sun cream on your legs?

Depends how many nit pits there are living on the urbanisation…
Ours have about 17 rules of things who are not allowed…, but you are still allowed to swim and stand in the water…!

I allow children to wear T-shirts in our pool because they are more prone to sunburn than adults.especially on the shoulders .
Also Benjy ... it's a proven fact that the skin on the legs is different to the rest of the body so will not burn or even tan as
easily.

I am sure that the special nylon type cover ups would be acceptable with uv protection

If you are in disagreement with the rules in your Urbanisation/Conjunta, campaign to have them changed.

But, up until they re changed, they ARE your rules.

I brought this very subject up with my own "El Presidente" earlier in the year
only because I was looking at the banned list on the side for a while and they mostly made sense (No food = No rats/ etc).
He told me what somebody above said about fibres breaking down and clogging up the filtration system.
The use of sun cream is a completely different issue.

I got the impression that he wouldn't be patrolling the pool area banning kids who were wearing t shirts.

Sun cream binds the chlorine together thus reducing its effects and also blocks filter more than a few fibres i don't use sun cream in my own pool just te-shirt and cap
