Why are t shirts not allowed in communal pool as washed in same water and detergent as swimwear help from sunburn and dont need so much sun cream which is also not allowed but people do

I think in ours it's ok if they are white.

Its be cause of the fibers coming off and going into the filters. That's what they say

Coloured T-shirt’s aren’t allowed in our community pool, because the dye can run and discolour the water.
Our rule says:
• Coloured t-shirts shall not be worn whilst in the pool.

In ours you can wear any colour t shirt.

Think sun cream does more damage than odd loose fibre it breaks down the chemicals

You may also find that they alter the chemical balance as do plastic toys.

I think that rule is ludicrous. I look after our pool and would far rather have t-shirts worn in the pool than loads of sun cream. I always have to clean round the waterline of the pool the yellow staining of the grease from sun cream. I think sun cream does far more damage than the wearing of a t-shirt and children especially need protection from the sun.

Am I missing something here? but why would you want to wear a t-shirt in the pool?
