You are normally in and out of a supermarket within 15 min and you have lots of space. You are on a plane for over 2 hours sitting a couple of mtrs apart. I think you've
Definitely got more chance catching it on a plane but that's my opinion.

There’s the same chance of passing it on or catching just being in a supermarket
A plane or airport is no higher risk
Just been to Carrefour, packed to the rafters, no social distancing
Surely sitting in the controlled environment of a plane is safer ?
An airport is no more riskier than a supermarket
I think we’re over worrying air travel, there’s no evidence of a spike caused by it
As we all know, the latest increase is caused by uncontrollable large indoor gatherings, rave parties etc, with young people
I it’s the same problem in most countries now
Good posts from Sunworshipper and Marcliff.
Sumo Wok in Benijofar were insisting on hand sanitiser being used, and all was as I'd expected. Same in all other places I've been to. Some places seem to have the sanitiser near the door. Others have the waiter on the door offering the sanitiser, and others come to your table and sanitise your hands. All tables have been cleaned before I've been seated.
Menus have either been laminated, or on an app, or on the doors.
Hi Blingle, can you tell me if Sumo Wok we’re operating a buffet when you visited? Thanks.

Travelling by plane right now presents very little risk IMO. However, that is a bit of a self-fulfilling situation caused by a mixture of fear, country restrictions and quarantine policies. Whilst those remain, the airports are empty, as are the planes. I have passed through UK airports, Spanish and Scandinavian airports in the recent past and have come close to almost no one. The planes have a handful of people on them and so obviously the airports have hardly anyone in them. To the gate there was distancing between the 40 or so that must have been aboard. On the flight we had at least a row between passengers and no one else on the row. No one in the row opposite.
The closest I came to someone was aboard the bus to the terminal at CPH. And then it was well over 1m apart.
I would agree that the supermarket provided for a greater risk. And don't even mention Lemon Tree Market....

I have spoken to a number of people have flown over ( with various airlines) and all have said there were about 50 - 60 people on the plane. One said there were only 10.
There are rules about the number allowed and so there will never be a full plane anywhere. It has also been reported that on the new planes the air is recycled from outside and not inside so much safer now.

Happy in the sun.

Thank you for all the replies to my original post.
We are home and in quarantine. As somebody already said, it is more difficult than lockdown as we were allowed to go out for a walk then but not so now but we are getting there and will be free at the weekend.
Wonderful I hear you say but it is far from wonderful. Northern Ireland has very few Covid 19 cases but not so now. The number of infections have soared and new implementations have been introduced. Nobody is permitted to visit anyone’s home in the whole of NI. We came home because we needed to have our quarantine completed before the arrival of our son and his future in-laws arrive to meet us on Saturday. Well, they cannot come into our house...in order to get to know them, we will all have to go and stay in a hotel for a week where we can sit and chat and wine and dine together. Sounds lovely but we can’t do that here in our home but we can do that in a hotel where we will all have to spend a lot of money.
This whole thing has turned our worlds upside down . People are scared to go the length of themselves.
I diverse, forgive me...
Back to our visit to Spain. After the initial shock about the enormous change in restaurants, number of people about etc.m we suddenly got used to everything and went to the beach most days and ate in restaurants if they were open and absolutely loved every minute of our trip.
Was it worth the 2 week quarantine? Yes, it was. I will do the same ago soon I think. I telephony our insurers and enquires if we could travel to Spain soon. Yes, we will be covered for any medical or accidental care but not covered if our holiday is cancelled. Wonderful, life can begin in earnest again. Travelling on our flight home was perfect. We were seated in row 2 A and B and one other man was seated in row 1F and everyone else were seated at the rear of the aircraft. Some asked if they could move seats and were told No, only if they paid...nobody moved. All very civilised. Delightful flight. Arrived into Belfast International and our daughter after getting our text, parked our car outside the terminal and jumped out before we reached it and got into her husband’s car parked behind. Lots of food left in the boot for us and our online order was delivered first thing the following morning. All as simple as that and we have been perfectly happy doing bits and pieces to put our time in.
Don’t be scared of travelling to your spanish home, book and go if you can cope with the quarantine.
Forgive me if I have bored you all to tears but it’s keeping me occupied as I have nothing better to do! Cheers everyone.
