Travelling to U.K. now PCR test

Hi..I agree that the Government are trying.. Very trying. The problem seems to be that a complete lack of direction in respect of public information. Too many if and buts ..too many do's followed very soon by dont's. Its about leadership and Johnson is afloat without a compass...He left the door open to Indian people returning back to the UK did he not. The whole thing needs some sort of detailed enquiry...Not Government sponsored but independently. The UK must learn from what has been and is an ongoing tragedy. Just my opinion...Keep safe everyone.

I travelled from Alicante last night - antigen test only + proof of vaccination and locator form. All checked at the check-in queue and given a piece of paper to say it had all been checked. The girl hardly glanced at it!! Asked for this small piece of paper at the boarding gate with passport. Very straightforward apart from the long queues everywhere!
Good to see everything open in the departure area too!

Tory BS. For that to happen, every clinic would need to ask everyone their Nationality, where they are traveling too, record it and report it.

Strangely enough my antigen test recorded (July 18th) my Passport details and date of travel when I had stated my reason for the test as “travel to the UK”.

Don’t all the test clinics do that?
Naturally, I cannot say that they reported it but the system seemed efficient enough.

Grant Shapps himself said it hasn’t changed, but they are saying we 'advise' you… Gave us all a scare for a minute. Still, not on the red list is a bonus!

Totally agree with you. Within a matter of days, the wording will very likely be changed. I for one, if given the choice would in all truth go for the cheaper Antigen test. We can but wait and see what we are obliged to do before returning to the U.K.
it’s like playing snakes and ladders! One minute you seem to be winning and the next, you’re met by a snake and off you go again only further back than you were to start with.
We’re booked to travel at the end of August but I know that it’s possible that our plans could be thrown into the air and we won’t be allowed to go. That’s how it’s been since the first lockdown. There are no guarantees with Covid 19 apart from the fact it could attack any one of us at any time.
