announced by uk government,
as from 4am monday 2nd august fully jabbed people with an approved fda or ema vaccine arriving in the uk from amber list countries will not have to quarantine,

ok sorry to raise this again -the EU Digital Certificate -we have printed ours off -should we be able to read/scan the qr code ourselves?
We currently cannot and obviously dont wish to travel with duff certificates.

Been answered before. No, you can't read it as it's encrypted for data protection reasons.

The only exception is for people arriving from France, who still have to quarantine on arrival.

I assume although quarantine free, there is still a need for pre flight Antigen test and a day 2 PCR?

pre flight test and day 2 test still required.
Also at present this only applies to england. The devolved nations are yet to make a decision

Yes you can read it yourself. There is a good App on the App Store/Playstore called Green Pass Wallet
