True or fake news on the possible tourism for brits ?

So this was posted just recently and perhaps some chose not to comment but is it true of false or really they do need tourism.

Her wishes for British tourists in May, appear at odds with her President’s ban on British tourists up to 31 May.

The big obstacle is the U.K’s post arrival test which is an added expense for any family/ couple. I can’t see this happening unless Spain moves into the Green list. How likely is this to happen this month? I can’t see it. Possibly by mid/end of June Spain will have brought the infection under control and that could make a huge difference. The sooner Spain starts to vaccinate the under 40’s the better.
I walked the SCOTTISH COUPLE on utube the other day and CABO ROIG was empty, dead. Unbelievable to see. Most other places were the same so this pandemic is crippling tourism.
It’s wonderful to see towns/cities in England coming back to life. We must wait here until 24th May for coffee shops etc., to reopen so not long now. We can get coffee in a paper cup to take away but that simply doesn’t appeal to me unless there is somewhere to sit and relax nearby. We are staying in our caravan on the coast and it’s a joy. I was watching cars/golfers arriving in the car park and getting ready for a round of golf earlier. The sun is shining and it will be perfect conditions. Busy over the weekend but only one or two others staying so it’s peaceful and relaxing. Everything has moved on, most of us have internet connection so can enjoy Netflix and keep in touch with the family.
We have to make the most of life as travelling is unlikely just yet

The Foreign Minister of Spain was interviewed on BBC Breakfast. She was quite upbeat about the possibility of UK adding certain low risk regions to the green list. She specifically mentioned Valencia and Balearics.

The UK can add as many regions as they like to the green list, abolish testing upon return to the UK and pay for the flights for us all if they so wish....
BUT It will not make one Iota of difference until the Spanish Government re-open their borders to tourists from 3rd Countries.
It really is as simple as that.... Unfortunately.

I am amazed anyone would question whether tourism is needed, particularly anyone living in the Costas.

Yes, anyone who has a business here or is involved in the restaurant or entertaiment industry, heavily rely on tourism.

I read a article on yahoo news today (so it must be true) that the tourism minister of Spain said that tourists from the UK would be allowed to enter from the end of May without the need of any negative test etc. The sticking point for many will be the 10 day quarantine required on return to the UK

This area is powering ahead with vaccination.most of the over 60’s have had at least jab and the 50+ are being called as from next week. By the end of the month it is projected that the over 70 age group will have had both jabs. So after a somewhat slow start, Spain is catching up quickly
Bars are slightly quieter than normal, but that’s not just down to the lack of tourists it’s because the weather has been abysmal. Not forgetting the curfew hours have only just changed from 10pm to midnight. That has stopped a lot of people from being able to eat out of a night. As for Cabo Roig, don’t know what time of the day those people did their walk, but for 364 days of the year the strip is dead during the day. St Patrick’s Day being the exception. The strip never wakes up until 8pm in normal times, so with curfews and music bans, it’s not been worth the restaurants opening.
Now that the bars can open till 11.30 and the temperature is finally going to hit the 30 degrees mark, it certainly feels more like normal times
