The difference between then and now is that 99% of people on this forum were not reliant on a favourable exchange rate.

The Bank of England has just Issued a statement saying that it won’t hesitate to increase rates when necessary. I don’t know when necessary is but I would have thought that now would be a good time. I’m Getting angrier. (Or should that be more angry)?

Apparently Graham Brady (1922 committee) has already received letters of no confidence in Liz Truss from MPs. Perhaps we'll get another leadership election. Boris did say at his farewell speech that he would be back !
Be careful what you wish for.

You cannot afford to move abroad reliant on a good exchange rate,it fluctuates constantly,in 2009 the pound was down to €1 09, of course the man in charge then was the man who ruined nearly all the final salary pension funds,Gordon Brown.
