U.K. mini budget

Re: U.K. mini budget

I’ve been following this post with interest and as usual people have hijacked a subject and turned it into something other than the original post. It started by mentioning the mini budget from last week and has morphed into Gordon browns policies in The 90s and the credit spending of todays younger generation. Personally I think the o/p was spot on.

We had better economic growth under the last Labour government. They will better support working people and those who need services and they will support the NHS, unlike this shitshow who want are want to take it away from us by stealth so they can privatise vast sections of it.

It doesn't automatically follow that because you are unhappy with the Conservative Party then the Labour Party would do a better job. There is a serious shortage of capable politicians in all parties partly caused by them not being paid enough. Anyone worthwhile can earn far more outside of politics. Some of us can still remember the shambles left by the last Labour Gov'......no thank you, I'd rather stick with what I know.

Yeah right, they don’t get paid enough. They live in abject poverty on £1623 per week plus BIG a expense allowance. It’s sad really, poor little loves.

I think you are playing games Benjy. Even you can understand how being offered a job paying twice an MPs salary is inclined to ensure that person won't choose politics.

No games from me, just replying to a statement that £1623 per week plus expenses is “not enough”

And still we are not discussing the original post which was about the mini budget and not Tory vs labour.

It's a discussion forum, the question was about the budget so, it's being discussed by people with differing views of the current situation. This is how a forum operates Benjy.

Yes, about last weeks mini budget, so shall we discuss that and not your opinions as to whether MPs are paid enough? So why not start a different thread if you want to talk about wages for MPs then those who are interested in your political views can discuss it with you.
