The Polish Government did reduce their State Pension age limit because they had made a manifesto promise to do so should they be elected...Of course they were elected and honoured their commitment. That said I fully support Women in the various campaigns...its not that its wrong that Women should retire at an age comparable with Men its that some form of staged payment should have been proffered to enable life plans etc to be met. Good luck with your campaigns.

Thanks hobnob.. are you a reporter?

Hello 1950s Women
I have started a FB group WASPI International Alicante. There will be information here that we can do to help each other.

You can join this group if you are a Resident of Spain otherwise you can join WASPI UK.

Let's keep trying to get justice.

Hi

Are you a reporter ? I am so angry that in the UK nobody is doing much about reporting how the UK gov has handled the 1950s Women with their State Pension.

I should have been receiving my pension last year instead having to live on my husband's Canadian pension which when exchanged into Euros looses a lot of $. Also, why should he have to share his pension when I should be receiving my own. Our lives would be so much easier. We should be enjoying retirement instead I'm communicating with groups, MP's etc.. very angry.

Hi ..I was born early Jan 1955..my pension age has gone up 3 times but I believe it is now capped so I will receive my pension 6 jan 2021 when I am 66..David Cameron when primeminister said that women of this era would be entitled to FULL pension regardless..however on checking on gov.uk site I will not get full pension because I am now retired I am not paying N.I.hence it is not full pension..I can pay for missing years! I am very angry as I have seen a post where the hate preacher , jailed for life in USA , has his wife & family living in a 1.5 million house & receiving £650 per week in benefits!! To say I am angry is an understatement..I feel the govt. need to cut bak on foreign aid (some of these countries in recipt run space programmes!!) Charity begins at home & the govt should be looking after its own..Yes it would make it easier for us to enjoy retirement here in Spain..my husband is 5 yrs younger so has another 9 yrs to get to pensionable age

Hi Sylvia...No I am not a reporter...I am just an interested social commentator. I feel for your anger about what is a terrible way to treat Women by the British government. As I stated in an earlier post I have no problem with equalizing the age of pension for both Men and Women...the issue is one of the unfairness of not having a staged payment system to enable people (women) to realise their long planned later years. Good luck with your campaign.
