I don't believe the reports that 90% in hospital are unvaccinated either as the figures don't add up. So 90% of the nation is vaccinated but it's 90% of the remainding 10% that are filling the hospitals? Sorry i find that hard to believe.

In the UK it's just over 60% who have had the booster (3rd vaccination).
So let's say those eligible for a booster dose = 40 million, then there are around 16 million at risk. But you do your own maths.

I suppose it depends on where you're getting your stats from. It wasn't that long ago that the government was saying that 5 million of the population are unvaxed. So if true, that's less than 10% of the population that are unvaxed, yet 90% of those are filling the hospitals up?

Saying the vaccine doesn’t work very well is subjective, you can still catch covid, but if you do there’s a very good chance you’re not going to be very I’ll & a larger chance you won’t need to be hospitalised. I personally had the jab to hopefully stop both these happening,

It’s strange the things we carry in our memory banks. Many years ago my sister was standing in church beside Daddy, he tapped his watch at a minute or so after 11am and said” It’s 60 years exactly since my father died” All those years and a lifetime of memories and he still never got over the sudden death of his father.
Our loved ones need us alive and well. Let’s not leave anything to chance.
( I refer to the fact that his father died of pneumonia when penicillin hadn't been discovered)

The BBC present the numbers that have had 1st, 2nd & booster vaccinations during the evening news (6pm in the UK), daily.

My final comment. Pneumonia is treated today by taking an antibiotic. My grandfather got it in 1920 aged 40 and died within a few days. Prince Albert was the same. Thankfully, this rarely happens in today’s world. Do you think my grandfather or Prince Albert would have refused a new drug called PENICILLIN if they’d had it back then? They’d have taken it and probably lived to be old men. What more can I say to you to make you reconsider? Forewarned is for armed. Get your arm out and get safe…….please.

What right do you think you have to instruct someone to "get their arm out..."?

Do you not understand that to be vaccinated or not is (currently) a personal choice?

I am not antivax. If people feel it is of benefit please take it. I have made a personal risk assessment and on balance decided that the 99.7% survival rate against unknown future risks of a brand new gene therapy dodnt stack up for me.
What I dont like, and the reason I posted on this thread, is the growing number of people saying that unvaxed need to be almost punished

In the UK & Europe we seem to be getting on top of Covid but until we can be sure that unvaccinated people don't pose a risk it's sensible to be cautious.....and that's what people are doing. That leaves 3 main issues:
* The risk of 'long Covid' &
* The fact that most of the third World have not yet been vaccinated &
* The possibilty of more virus mutations.

We are already seeing unvaccinated being denied entry & access to events. I believe that restrictions are likely to increase significantly.....but its a free choice.

if the unvaxxed want to gain access to events there's always a way around things, this non access carry on should not be used as a tool to coerce people into a forced decision.

In the UK there are a number of large employers who are no longer paying unvaccinated staff when they are sick. It's only going to get worse for those who are not vaccinated.....but you have the right to choose.
