Update Your Contact Details
by marcliff » Wed Feb 24, 2021 6:33 pm
This is crossing over from other threads but the Valencia Health Service has asked that everyone check the details they have registered for the covid vaccine rollout.
Make sure your telephone number is up to date so that they contact you when necessary.
If you are on Yo Salud, you can do that quite simply but you have to go into the bit marked Change Password and then your details will come up. Ensure the mobile phone number is correct and you can opt to have messages by SMS.
If you can't access YoSalud, they have put a link to a form where you can change it.
Update SIP
It asks for your SIP card number and a date of issue if it has one. Then it will allow you to enter your telephone numbers.
Over 80s in Orihuela Costa have already been called forward for vaccine at the health centres and I know of some housebound couples in the Rojales area who have had the vaccines at home but I don't know of any other areas where they have started calling people forward.

Good info' Marcliff. However, What do new residents that only have PHI and are not covered by a S1 & SIPP do?

If you have private health insurance you need to contact them and they are liaising with the health authority.
I think it was Help Vega Baja where I saw that.

I think I posted it the other day. If you are a resident but not eligible for a S1, you need to register with your health centre and they will issue you a temporary SIP card to enable you to have the vaccine.
Ton Tri posted that that's what she did and needed an up to date padron and passport and got a 6 months temporary SIP card.
Every citizen and resident will have access to the vaccine regardless of cover.

VACCINE ROLL OUT
We have received the following communication from the British Consulate office for all those UK Citizens living here in Spain.
"The most important point is the Spain has said that it will offer the vaccine to everyone who lives in Spain as they consider this to be a public health issue.
For British nationals resident in Spain with public healthcare cover:
These British nationals will be contacted by their health centre when it´s their turn according to Spain´s vaccination roll out. Note that Spain´s roll out is currently slower than the UK´s and we understand the next group to be contacted will be the over 80s.
For British nationals resident in Spain with private healthcare cover:
These British nationals should contact their private healthcare provider first. We understand that the public healthcare authorities will liaise with the private providers to ensure that everyone receives a vaccine. The Spanish government has said that the vaccine will be available to everyone who lives in Spain and wishes to receive it, according to their vaccine roll-out programme.

It seems a good idea to make sure health authorities hold your correct contact details, especially for Covid jabs.

As Marcliff said you can change your password on Yo Salud but you cannot change your phone number you have to go to the surgery and ask the receptionist to do it he/she will change your medical record which will update Yo Salud automatically
