Hi all, just wondering if It’s cheaper to buy varifocals in the UK or Spain? I’d be really grateful to anyone that can advise. Thank you!

Progressive Varifocals can be bought for around 120 euros much more than that and you are being ripped off

Good Lord! 450 to 600 euro?
My wife wears varifocal, thin and lite lenses and got two pairs (one normal and one sunglasses) for just over 250 euro at Specsavers.
The time before she got two pairs with one of them reactolite for about the same price.
Eye test included and there were even cheaper frames if she wanted them.

I now use contact lenses and yes, they are cheaper in Spain than in the UK.
I always ask for discount or special offer and they give me extra lenses!
Why don’t you visit one of the lovely opticians and enquire. After getting prices, visit Specsavers and see if they are cheaper.

A lot depends on the strength of your prescription. We both have have high prescriptions and when querying prices in Specsavers and other local opticians we are told “ the offer does not apply to your prescription” Always check before committing. The glasses supposedly at special offer of €179 suddenly rise to € 500 to 600. We always go to our local Asda when in UK and get ours there at very good prices I think our last 2 pairs cost £269 including reactolite coatings. Testing always good at Asda as well.

Doesn't it depend on your prescription and frames? I wear varifocals and I get the special coating etc and my usual price depending on the frames is around €450. Also depending on your strength there are frames that won't suit because of the weight of the glass. I can't tolerate contact lense so I gave up wearing them.

If weight is a problem you can get plastic lenses I have been wearing them for years much lighter, no sore nose
