For a really nice day out with family or visitors, try this place www.bodegascerda.com
If you head north on the motorway, exit Catral and head towards Albatera, drive along Main Street and follow signs for Hondon de Las Nieves, it will take you through almond fields then up the hill side on a beautiful road, dropping you into the valley where the bodegas are located. All in the trip is around 40 minutes and it’s a beautiful road.
The bodega is family run and stunning. They do taster tours and sell all their own produce, including the great Goat cheese..
A great experience and a beautiful day out in a wonderful place :)

We did this one with friends - it's quite small, but very nicely done. We pre-booked for the tour and lunch with wine tasting, before visiting the onsite shop to buy our wine. I would say 3 hours is enough to do this one.

Thanks Newchocs for passing this on, it looks a lovely place so we will give it a visit when we are back out there. Not bad prices on their wines either.
