Spray it with ordinary fly spray and run like hell. They won’t come back.

**Try to always do this at dusk or evening - Not in the day when the wasps are more active and wear long trousers and long sleeves and a hat if poss.

yes, attack when it cold and dark. It depend where the nest is. Ive got rid of two wasps nests at ground level by the simply expedient of pouring half a pint of petrol on them and chucking a match in, a couple of hours after dusk. if its near a building then go for chemical warfare, give them a good dose of flying insect killer then poke a hole with a stick and dose the inside. Wear complete covering, (even tape up ankles wrists, and you might need a hood and viel) be a quick as you can and run like f*** when you done the deed. Attacking a wasps nest is not for the faint hearted. And make sure it is a wasps nest and not an African Hornets nest, those f***ers chase and kill humans.

or pay somone to get rid. Apparantly fishermen value the wasp grubs for fishing.

Is the nest inaccessible? because it really is an easy job with wasp or fly killer.
