The best thing about being in Spain at Xmas is that it's nearly always nice and you don't have to be stuck indoors. You can have a Xmas Meal on your own, be among a lot of British People in a Restaurant or take a trip to the Coast where there will lots of other Nationalities enjoying the Sunshine and the Bars and Restaurants will be open. Take your choice.

Spanish do not celebrate Xmas day, it's quiet apart from all the restaurant tills ringing loudly with expensive Christmas dinners

No expensive Restaurants open in Torrevieja or Guardamar but Guardamar gets very busy and you might find it hard to find a seat in a Restaurant.

We come out around after Christmas time and it does seem very quiet. However the weather is still lovely. We even end up sunbathing on news years day. You don’t get that in the UK.
