Where can you dispose of old/faulty phone batteries?

Any ideas?

Most supermarkets and shopping centres have recycling bins for all batteries.

Consum certainly does.. usually signed "pilas" I think..

The Ferrateria near The Food Company has a bin.

Thanks for your replies. I did wonder about those bins but was concerned that i would drop my battery in it which may cause it to catch fire. It has become swollen so i was a bit hesitant. Maybe i'm being a bit paranoid
