Why is there no strawberry

Does anyone know why there is no strawberries anywhere is there a shortage !

Wimbledon bought them all?

Spanish strawberry season finishes in May. Any you get now will be imported but as Spain is one of the world's largest strawberry exporters these will be few and far between. (not to mention more expensive).

We got some yesterday from Zoco market so worth trying other markets.

Mercadona frozen Strawberries, cheap and fresher than loose.

Bought fresh strawberries in mercadona on saturday think they are from northen spain quite expensive at €2.75 but closer to english strawberry than the usual spanish one's.

They are OK in a milkshake but not very nice to eat, to squashy when thawed out

Which Aldi was that? We went in to the one by Consum yesterday and thought we may have missed them so went back in today and still no strawberries.

I was in the one at Consum and there were loads of plastic containers of strawberrys

We must have got there just before they put them out or they were all sold very quickly. Nary a one when we went.
