Hi, they are based in Daya Nueva, they deliver the to you, we use them for airport transfers, so when we arrive at our property a car is waiting, they also collect the car too

How do they compare with the airport car hire companies ?
Do you have to pay for your airport transfers on top of the car hire fee ?

It all depends on what the airport car hire companies charge for the hire and if you take insurance, I find that once you've added both together the cost is similar to hiring from Xpress with transfers, yes transfers are charged extra.

Did you look at the CarSharing from Seguro Car Rentals. Prices are very keen especially if you are coming a couple of times in high season. You can spread your days however you like over the year. e.g
Up to 30 days €400
31-40 days €525
41-50 days €630
Includes insurance and you can name as many people as you like on the contract which is handy if you have extended family using your property. The car will be waiting for you at the airport departures area. You pay the rental up front plus €250 on account in case of traffic fines or if you don't have time to refill. The deposit is refundable if not used. Send an email to [email protected] for details.

I normally pay between 15 and 50 euros per visit (out of peak times) we come over about 6 times a yr, i have my own insurance (£40/yr) and use centauro at the terminal, but must admit iam getting sick and tired of them trying to catch me out on returning the vehicle ,so much so, that iam thinking of getting my own car over there but i know that can be expensive considering we only visit 6 times a year, so another car hire co.other than the airport cos. might be worth considering if their price is reasonable .

It is for this very exact reason above that I have recently contacted Xpress Car Hire for a quote.

Every single hire company that I have reviewed belonging to Alicante Airport have nothing but people complaining about being scammed. Either via damage that was never fixed from previous rentals, or returning home only to find their account has been debited by 100's of pounds. Just one big complete con if you ask me.

I had read this thread, contacted Xpress and had my booking done at a great price within a matter of minutes. Hopefully I will never need to use a hire company at the airport ever again.
