I see the UK company went bust last week . . . Is the Quesada franchise still open as we were going to look for something there?

Overseas branches trading as Yorkshire Linen are franchises totally separate from the Uk company.

But I would expect the franchisor supplies the stock to the overseas operation.

Schuman you are wrong the overseas franchises can buy direct from UK suppliers to maintain continuity

Begs the question ...why buy a franchise when you can bypass the franchansee and buy direct on better terms ???????

Maybe, as a group, buying in quantity gets a better deal for the franchisees and the customer. But, that suggests, prices at the CQ, might rise, now that the Franchisor’s buying power has gone and individual shops are buying smaller amounts.

A Franchise gives you marketing support because the “Brand” called Yorkshire Linen is well known and trusted. Don’t know what will happen but they might “ sell off” the name Yorkshire Linens to another company.
