4 of us visited there last night for the first time. Good food, not sure what the 10% was added to the bill?

Not bothered about the 9 Euro, certainly not going have a difference of opinion about such a small amount, just disappointed that it happened, none of the 4 of us will be going back there.

Sounds like the tax iva. Chino La Laguna do this, but it is stated on their menu board.

George the owner of Da Silva’s commenting on your post.
I want to make it very clear that no extra money was added to your bill last night and I am disappointed that if you thought there was that you said nothing to me about this.
Your food and drink bill as follows
1 x Smirnoff & tonic. €4.50
1 x Pint SAN Miguel. €2.50
1 x Half pint San Miguel. €1.30
1 x Gin & Tonic. €4.30
4 x Menu Noche ( 2 courses). €54.00
1 x Sirloin Steak supplement. €5.00
1 x Smirnoff Vodka. €3.20
1 x Gin & Tonic. €4.30
1 x Half pint SAN Miguel. €1.30
1 x Glass White Wine. €2.40
2 x Dessert. €2.45
€2.45
1 x White Coffee. €1.60
1 x Soberano Brandy. €3.00

Total amount to be paid and the amount you paid is €92.30

The 10% that you have accused me of over Charging you is taken off this amount and this is what I have to pay the government.
Total €83.91 Tax 8.39 final total €92.30

I will look forward to an apology

Da silvas is one of the best restaurants in the whole area. IT is always first class service and quality food. It's a shame the customers hadn't asked about the bill when there, instead of putting it on an open forum and saying they would not return. The owner has clearly replied that they had no surcharge. Da silvas is a quality establishment and cannot be more highly recommended, especially for Sunday lunches and their Wednesday night music nights.

George, I never accused you of overcharging, my statement in my original post was, WHAT IS THE 10% ADDED TO THE BILL FOR. I see your explanation, however, I've never seen this addition added to any bill in any other restaurant

What a shame everybody has got upset about this post. If I was upset about a bill I would query it at the time.

I am coming to Quesada in about 10days time to get the keys to my new villa and will be living there permanently from 1st January. I shall make sure to go to Da Silva’s Restaurant and try out your menu. I hope to be able to post what a lovely meal we had!
