Former Restaurante Catorce

Postby Drama Queen » Wed May 02, 2018 3:56 pm

We popped in this afternoon to see what's happening at Catorce after the awful tragedy that befell them in March. The restaurant has now been taken over and at present is stripped out. It will be an A La Carte restaurant with a coffee and drinks bar and the owners already have one other restaurant. Now empty, it looks huge! They hope to open all the facilities at the end of June, though the bar may be open sooner - they've had some glitches!
The side room is now used exclusively by Alan, who runs his Spanish classes there. I believe Paul is staying in Spain for the time being, though no-one knows his plans yet.

Thank you DramaQueen. It was a lovely place so hopefully the new owners will manage to keep it's reputation going.

Could it be the PUNJABI PALACE?

Thanks for the update.

So sad, has anyone seen Paul lately to see how he is ?

Take care all, one day at a time.

According to Alan from the Spanish classes they are an English couple and their other place is upstairs at La Finca but can't remember the name.

The former restuarant Catorce is now known as The Pines on the Green. They have a menu del dia and a menu del noche. I was there last night for a quiz evening. A one course supper (around six choices) was included in the price. Over seventy people were there. The food was hot and delicious and all the people on my table were very happy with the food. This is my second visit there and on both occasions I have found the staff to be friendly and helpful
