That's a co-incidence LOL

If you enjoy it, let us know. We hope to go there soon.
The set menu looks good too.

Amazing co-incidence! We got there at 7.30 and I was determined to have some tapas - as I haven't had any this holiday. We sat in the back restaurant - and found out that tapas is normally served to people who sit in the front part or outside!! Unfortunately, at that time there was not a great deal of tapas to choose from - and being a "non-spicy eater" it was even more difficult as even the sweet and sour chicken had a lot of chilli in it!! I did persever though and managed to find three dishes!! Also - we found out that it was a bad idea to go on a football match evening!!

That being said, my companions chose off the main evening menu, and were very happy with their meal. The staff were extremely pleasant - and with a good sense of humour. The sweets, although not big, were very rich and filling! You can pay by cash or card!

One other thing is that they stock loads of boxes of frozen foods - and do either a take away service, or a home delivery service for a purchase of a certain amount. I didn't have my camera with me, or take notes, but I'm sure that you'll be able to find out when you visit! Enjoy your visit!

Goyos is my favourite eatery in Quesada - been going for 8 years and never had a bad meal yet.
Their new Take Away service is an excellent idea and I am sure has been welcomed by folk living alone who cant be bothered to cook for one. You can buy starters, main courses and desserts and the prices start from 2.00 euros.
Well done guys for thinking ahead. x :text-thankyouyellow:

We went to Goyos last night for the Menu Del Dia and it was very nice.

They serve a basic salad pre-starter with lettuce/onions/olives/tomatoes and a basket of bread.

We had the starters of 1. cream of Leek soup(very thick, creamy and tasty) and 2. A dish translated as 'scrambled mushrooms' which was really good and consisted of mushrooms/green beans/prawns & we thought there was a little bit of egg in there too - Both were good portions.

Our main courses were 1. chicken in mushroom sauce which came with chips - 2. Pork loin (gammon really!) with two fried eggs and chips. The meal was cooked lovely, the fries were thinly sliced, and the portions were large ( too much for me but that's not difficult! ).

For dessert we just had the ice cream as we were stuffed but there were some nice choices including cheesecake.

Coffee is also included.

Unbelievable value for 8.50 Euro per person including the first drink, 3 courses, dessert & coffee.

As with many traditional Spanish restaurants, it is obviously not fine dining but the food is good and the service is pleasant & cheerful.

There were a number of Spanish people eating in there, which we think is a good sign, and there were also a German group plus British and the staff seem to understand basic English but were patient with our 'practice' ordering in broken Spanish.

We will go there again!

We have had many lunch time tapas in Goyos and they are always excellent, but after reading the recommendations on here we are going to give the menu del noche a try this week!
