Hello i am thinking of booking this restaurant for Xmas day but i have never been so wondered if anyone has ever been for Xmas dinner here. The trip advisor reviews re the food are very good so i am going to look at the location this evening. Thanks

Hi, my friends went there for lunch last week, very elaborate and waitresses in long red velvet robes on, the food was good, but my friends were in shorts and t shirts and felt very under dressed, so just thought I would let you know so that you are aware :text-lol: Angie

I know everyone gives this place rave reviews but my wife and I were quite disappointed when we went there. Very German in style, food well presented and good ingredients but nothing special. There was no Mediterranean flair to the presentation and there was not much seafood on the menu. If the name had been Cafe Berlin or similar I probably would not have been disappointed but Portico Mar led me to expect a truly Mediterranean experience which it was not.

I guess it takes all sorts, am over next week and will try the Spanish restaurants on the sea front near the Parc Reina Sofia at the other end of town.

You will be lucky to book christmas we tried a coup,e of years ago inAugust to book for christmas and they were already fully booked. I got the impression they kept tables for regular clients. There are many places just as good as this in fact better. The one thing i don't like about the place is the tables are crammed in and you are right on top of each other.

I have not been there for Christmas, but I took my mother there on her birthday and she loved it.
