La Figuera Tapas

Postby hillsey » Mon Aug 12, 2013 5:39 pm

Would like to put a good word in for La Figuera opposite the Tabaco shop in Quesada. Very nice Tapas and friendly service. Tapas priced correctly rather than most other bars trying to charge higher prices for tapas.
La Figuera Tapas menu had a good selection that we made our way through, with good portions priced from 2euros.
Calamari was cooked perfectly as was the Chorizo cooked in beer, which was lovely as was the meatballs, patatas bravas and so on.
Bottle of house white is 5euros. Pealla starts from 5euros.

We loved this place too, shame the restaurant has closed down in Quesada, however it is only because the family has opened larger premises La Figuera 2 at En Urb. Pinomar 77, Guardamar Del Segura. Tel no 675 936 101

That's a shame there food was lovely and price was great too. Quesada needs a good tapas bar like that. We'll be going to there Guadamar bar when we come over in a few weeks.
Thanks for putting up the address.

If you like tapas the little Don Carlos near the Laguna Hotel and next door to the 222 Italian is very good. They have a tapas menu and it's reasonably priced. They also do a menu del dia and the choices can be seen chalked up on the board at the side of the outside seating area.

Thanks Jan, We've had the Tapas in the Little Don Carlos a few times now and found it too be ok. I see there's a few other local bars selling Tapas popping up on the forum we haven't tried like Spanglish, Faro, Lazzaran and Toro bar, so we'll be strolling around trying them all.
