Lets Eat Beniofar

Postby Babsie » Fri Feb 27, 2015 11:42 am

We had booked Lets Eat in Beniofar for a Sunday lunch for four of us. A friend who had recently lost her husband joined us at the last minute. When we got to the restaurant they immediately said they could not accommodate us, and my friend was so upset and felt most uncomfortable. We said no worries we will go elsewhere - and clearly we would never go there again ... Within five minutes they called us back as we were walking away, and 'found' us a big round table in a corner, which was perfect for the five of us!! How odd is that??
They said we had to be out by 4pm?? What? The restaurant only served lunches until
4pm? We simply did not understand their problem and it will be a long time before we go there again, if ever.

Hi sorry to hear about your problem in this economic climate you would expect them to be bending over backwards to accommodate customers I hope you made you feelings clear to them I totally understand how you must have felt, just out of interest how was the food?

I have been to Let´s Eat lots of times. Almost every time the service has been great and the food superb.. just once there was a problem with the seating... but otherwise it´s almost always first class....it´s a real restaurant and not a converted garage like many in the area....

Personally I like Auberge, Portico Mar and El Gusto too.

Just my personal opinion of course...

Lets Eat is a superb restaurant and the service is second to none. They are always booked up solid and it is always necessary to ensure you book well in advance. It has been there for many years and in fact expanded to double its size a few years ago which says a lot for its popularity. If you don't go again it will be your loss.

We have been to Let's Eat many times and never had a problem. The staff I have found to be most accomadating.

I've eaten there many times and had just one bad experience. It was very busy and It seemed to me that both the kitchen and the service staff were struggling to cope. As a result, both the food and the service were way below the usual standard.

I think, at the time, it seemed clear that there were not enough waitresses on duty.

Yes, Nothing is perfect all the time.. We never know if they are short staffed, the chef is on holiday, the cooker has blown up or they have had a flood in the attic..

I don`t mind the odd glitch, after all it´s normally brilliant and things do happen... but if it happens too often, then too bad, I´m off..

Just wanted to share similar experiences we have been a few times & always found problems - not with the food but sadly the attitude of some of the staff who quite simply seem to think that just because they are usually busy means they don't have to be caring or as professional as lots of other restaurants. Real shame as its very local & would like to support it but won't.
