Muerde la Pasta - Zenia Boulevard

Postby Jan » Sat Oct 26, 2013 9:39 am

We were introduced by our good friends to this great restaurant in Zenia Boulevard - The perfect place to have lunch after, or during, shopping in the wonderful Zenia Boulevard.

Muerde la Pasta - Meaning 'Bite the pasta' and not 'Murder the Pasta' :) is an Italian buffet restaurant. However, it's not your average 'buffet'. There's every conceivable hot and cold dish you can think of and some you can't, ie. chocolate pasta! - There's all kinds of salads, antipasti, vegetables, risotto's and gnocchi, pasta, pizza, fish, succulent meats and desserts such as cakes and whippy ice cream from machines. All drinks are included, self-served from machines (every type of soft drink you could want) and from taps (beer, wine & non-alcoholic beer), tea and coffee.

I personally don't think that any description can do the variety of the dishes justice. Even those who don't normally like Italian food should find something they like here.

Prices (as of October 2013)
Children are free (up to 105 cm high) - There's a fabulous play area for children. 1 child free by a paying adult. Valid every day.
€ 6.95 Children's menu (from 105-140 cm in height).
Lunch menu € 9.95 Monday to Friday.
€ 12.95 Menu nights, weekends and holidays.

TIME:
13:00 to 17:00
20:00 to 1:30

No bookings are taken in advance but apparently there are queues in peak seasons - We went in October and there was only a very short queue. It's a 'pay as you enter' system.
Read all about it on this link: http://zeniaboulevard.es/ocio-y-restauracion/ocio/32-muerde-la-pasta

Needless to say, we will be going again - Fabulous shopping and great food (even the shopping-shy men can't argue with that!)
;)

Jan think you are correct when you say there are queues in peak season. I was intending to eat there in September but must have been 50 people in the queue.
Food sounds worth the wait though!

Yes definitely worth the wait but I think every queue has it's limit. I wouldn't want to wait standing in a queue too long, especially on a hot day!

Visited today. My kids are picky eaters, but there is even a childrens' counter where you can serve yourself with plain pasta and then add whatever amount of ketchup that you'd prefer afterwards. The noise is an issue though if you are the kind of person that prefers to eat in stilnet environments. This is anything but, but we did not care.
