Paco's HIGHLY recommended

Postby RogerB » Fri May 24, 2013 1:37 am

MY COMMENTS copied from Viloriens thread!

Paco's is excellent ...Menu del Dia is €11 and includes:
salad, bread, and alioli + a half bott of quite good house wine(or equivalent)
A 'daily starter' choice, which can be almost a meal in itself, soups and stews, etc
A large choice of about 7 main dishes incl deiicious lamb chops, swordfish and tuna steaks, all served with very nice, non greasy chips
choice of about 4 desserts
coffee and a small liqueur (incl brandy).
Service is great, as is, IMO, the 'ambience' ... Snr Paco cooks the food himself on a visible wood fire! Sometimes there is also some music.
Typically for a Spanish restaurant, you won't see many veggies!!
The menu is a little tricky to navigate around, but don't be put-off by that!
Booking is essential, as it gets very crowded most days.

Sorry Jan I missed your question

Paco's is on the old road from Rojales to Guardamar, near the side road which used to lead to the sadly-defunct Viloriens.

Hi I have had lunch at Paco's and although very different to La herradura enjoyed a lot more!!! great value and full of Spanish which tells a story in its self, definite recommendation it is a quite a way down the road out of Rojales on the right. :)
