Spanish restaurants

Postby Alisunshines » Fri Apr 11, 2014 12:05 pm

We have friends visiting us here in Quesada and we wanted to take them for some traditional Spanish food locally. Does anyone know of a nice place with good food and sensible prices within a 10 minute drive? Thanks

Hi as a small but friendly tapas bar I can recommend Aneto in Benimar it is opposite the card place very reasonable prices various sorts of fresh paella and lots of tapas also English food if you prefer. Although I have never been several good friends have recommended Restaurante La Herradura in Los Montesinos they have a website, they and have flamenco nights and nights with Spanish guitarists etc. You will normally need to book.

Hi, right in the centre of Quesada opposite the Town Hall is Goyos. Their Menuu de Día is excellent value at 8.5 euros, available Mon to Fri over the lunch period. They also do excellent "a la carte" food in the evenings. It's frequented by many "foreigners" but it is Spanish through and through. Please be aware though that traditional Spanish food includes many stew type dishes so be prepared to be adventurous!

I really like Aneto, their tapas menu is excellent and extremely reasonably priced, as is their main menu, though this is a bit limited. They always serve you with a smile. Run by a very nice couple who do their very best to please. Only a small place but well worth a visit.
