Zaiqa Bar and Restaurant

My sister and I tried this new Indian Resturant last night and would recommend it. The food was delicious, the staff attentive and very reasonably priced. It is located next to the Taberna and was previously Casa de Fria.

Really we thought the food was very average, the drinks expensive at 4-50 a pint, and they charged us 15 euro’s for the chopitos at the end of the meal, we won’t be going back, there’s much better out there

We went last night and thought it was lovely. I’m not claiming to be an expert but have sampled many a curry as I come from around the Bradford area so know what a real curry tastes like. Most Indian restaurants around this area don’t know how to make a proper curry (in my opinion). The chicken bhuna I had last night was very good and the chicken was so tender. The only downside was it had a little too much ghee in it. We shared a portion of onions bhajis and these were really good, round and crispy, not the flat things most serve. It was very quiet with only a few tables taken. I hope things pick up for them because it would be a shame to lose it.

I didn’t see chopitos on the menu Which do you consider much better? We really like Bombay Grill, their curries are slightly better than Zaiqa but there isn’t much in it.

Agree with Annette, decent curry, friendly staff. I think they need to remove the large print of Frida Kahlo though, unless I’m mistaken I don’t think she painted much in India or Pakistan lol
