Bathroom Radiator Fitting and Decorator

Postby marcliff » Thu Dec 03, 2015 11:53 pm

Don't know if anyone has had similar to this but:
We are looking to have a towel rail fitted into the bathroom which uses the hot water. We would like the bidet removed which would leave the incoming taps for the water flow. As the bidet drains through the floor, it would need to be tiled over afterwards.
Now, we've been to Don De and they only do electric ones. Same with Hnos Garcia in Torrevieja.
I can get the towel radiator quite reasonable through Amazon Spain but need someone to plumb it in, remove the bidet and tile over the floor afterwards.
(Whilst we have a cosy house with carpets, extra double glazing and insulation in the ceiling voids, the bathroom is .....freezing and will get worse later on. An electric one will be too expensive to keep on all night)
Anyone had something similar and can recommend a tradesman to do it?

Secondly. It's about time we had the interior painted. I used to do it myself but would find it difficult to do the high ceilings and long walls in the hall void. Simply painting the living room and dining room, the hallway (which has a looooooong wall going up). Bedrooms are no problem as I've done them myself.
Anyone recommend a good painter who can do these?
Many thanks.

The only way you could use the hot water is to run a secondary loop back to your heat source which I assume is an electric boiler (cylinder) and you would have to put in a circulating pump but you proberbly don't have a secondary on the boiler
It still wouldn't get very hot and your electric boiler would keep heating up so indirectly you are still using electric.

Every day a learning one. Ah well, stuck to the electric towel rail then and bite the bullet when the electric bill comes in.
Would be grateful for the painter though, scubydoo.
