Blocked toilet

So we let our teenage son out with his mates we turn up and the toilet is blocked.... We have tried all the "normal" solutions so I think we now may need a plumber.... Any recommendations???

Ps just for your info apparantly it had nothing to do with our son.... Grrrrrdd

Do a search on here and put plumber a few come up that are recommended dave and javi numbers are there

I find a mop head does the trick always shifts it

a friend of ours mentioned this yesterday, said it worked better than a plunger

The missus tried that and the clingfilm one.... I've bought a cheap plunger then the more expensive one, we've also do the coat hanger all to no avail.... ... The little git is still claiming nowt has happened lol

As a plumber to trade (retired) a mop head often shifts it be careful not to break the bowl though
Otherwise Un Block a Rod provide a 24 hr service we use them on our community never a problem

Friend of mine had a blockage recently, turned out one of those jobbies you hang on the lip of the pan had gone down and got past the U bend before getting stuck, the entire toilet had to be removed to get at it!

Not sure of the price as we have them on contract but as a guide my neighbour had a blockage and there was a dispute whether it was community responsibility or the owners.
The firm came out and did a CCTV survey found the problem and fixed it charge was about 60 € I’d expect yours to be less
