Bogus tradesmen

Please be aware of bogus tradesmen, especially Electrcians. Check credentials use ones recommended . Recently came accross some older residents who had terrible work carried out & had to pay again to have it made safe & working.

It is handy to know about the latest scams. Some years ago we got a "Corgi" (as it was then) registered chap out of one of the local papers. He turned up in a Landrover (with no writing on it). I had a somesort of blockage in the gas pipe which lead to my hob - so I thought that I had somehow got air in the system, but didn't know how to release it! He fiddled around with the system, and said that it was working properly - and charged!! I had more problems and called in a local gas company who condemned the work! I have bottled gas - usually wary as to the repairer!
