CHINESE BIG SHOPPING BAZAAR C/SOROLLA
by JOHNNOBEV » Sun Feb 24, 2019 6:58 am
Popped in the other evening and purchased a new kitchen waste bin at the new bazaar.
Next morning when putting it together I found that a part of the hinge was missing and it would not swing properly.
I took it back and based on past experiences I thought I might have a problem with their attitude towards replacement.
As I entered the store a tall bespectacled Chinese man approach and asked if he could help me.
I explained about the hinge and he looked at it and agreed it was unworkable.
He then summoned a member of staff and directed her to fetch a replacement, which duly arrived.
He then assembled the new bin and demonstrated it worked and asked me to try it as well.
After such excellent service I wished them all a belated “Kung Hoy Fat Choy” (Happy New Year).
I shall certainly use them again in preference to any of the other Chinese bazaars.

Good to know.
Personally I've had no problem with a replacement in both Chinese Bazaars near Consum in Dona Pepa. The big one near the Toy shop has a notice saying no exchange without receipt (which is fair enough) but the small one near Consum exchanged without a receipt but I did go back there straight away.

Knowledge of the area is not necessary as, a search on Google produces a map highlighting that road.

I also took something back to the new Chinese bazaar and was very happy with service and they are very polite which is unusual in these stores
