Cockroaches !!!

Sorry to all for repeating one of my earlier posts but desperate now.


We have tried EVERY tip on this site to help with our cockroach invasion in the house but still our invasion exists.We have now bought ALL the traps, tapes and a multitude of sprays coupled with keeping windows closed , plugs in sinks and every hole blocked and still we have them day and night in both bathrooms and all the bedrooms.I think now we need some professional help. Any suggestions please ?Thanks Maggie

Have you used Zum which is supposed to work for 12 months and Barrera Contra Insectos which is 6 months I find if you use both together we don't get anything but our neighbours do. I would recommend both every 6 months. no bugs at all.

Can you tell me where I can buy them from

I know you can get Zum in Carrefour but I've not heard of or looked for Barrera Contra.

Oh dear, this is awful!

We have friends who had an extension done on their property - The builders had to dig down for the foundations and they built a new bedroom, with shower room and walk-in storage wardrobe at ground level. When the building work was finished they were 'invaded' by cockroaches in this part of the property and could only guess that, possibly, a nest was disturbed while the building work took place - They had no trouble anywhere else in the property. Like you they could hear them at night and used everything going. They managed to clear them eventually but it took time and during the time none of their family would sleep in this guest suite. I only mention this in case you can think of anything like this that may have caused them.

Have you looked behind the fridge or anywhere else where a piece food may have dropped?

I imagine that there are pest control companies, if you can't bear to wait, and hopefully someone can recommend one.

Good luck - I feel so sorry for you and always dread the thought of this happening.

It does, sorry to say, sound like you have a bigger problem as the sprays around access points should work. Perhaps you should contact a pest control company,
. There are plenty of them around and I've seen a couple of shops in Torrevieja that do it.
Also google pest control Costa Blanca and quite a few come up.

Friends had a major problem when the local council had not sprayed the street drains. Hard to believe but the manhole covers had been tarred over when the road was resurfaced and the council pest control did not report the lack of access in their area!
May be worth checking up with local town hall.
What about near by homes, do they have a problem too?

Probably won't help much but have you put small drain covers over your aircon pipes

Like you hate them, as said before maybe time to get help, how many in a day?
