Custom furniture

Postby DecoriaMuebles » Thu Dec 12, 2013 8:12 pm

Hello everyone,
We have set up a company in Dolores. We manufacture custom kitchens, partitions and in-built wardrobes. My question is: What do people in the area look for in companies dealing with custom furniture? Is it quality? Or mayby only the price matters? We would like to match the people's expectations. So far, despite our, I believe, superior quality in comparison with other companies in the area the sale are pretty low.
Cheers,

For me I like good service, some one knowledgeable who can help and advise.
Reliability is also important.
Price is a big factor but exceeding customer expectations I would say
Is good, giving a bit more than some other businesses in the same line.
So what can you offer over and above everyone else ?

For me it is a product that looks good and will last for a long time. Combine this with good after-care service, if anything goes wrong, and it seems a winning combination.

The main problem that you have will be the financial climate!! Custom furniture is always going to be expensive and everyone has to work to a budget. How do you prices compare to others of a similar type? You need a large client base since, since these sort of things are on-off purchases (every so many years). What sector of the market are you aiming your products at? Especially as there is a high unemployment rate and many holiday home owners probably would not go to the expense of buying custom furniture.
