Electric earth / Grounding

How common is a lack of an electrics earth.
Because I definitely have some classic symptoms of this (2004 house)

Do you mean on appliances or the house wiring circuits?


I believe that Appliances that are double insulated don’t require an earth

I would be worried if the house wiring doesn’t have an earth

Well I'm concerned that there is at best a weak earth or even none atall. Lights dim when things such as a vacume or hob gets turned on. There is also a tingling felt from shower head and taps. So yes this is concerning.
