Gas fire engineer ??

My gas fire is misbehaving...

Anyone know of a good registered gas engineer to fix it? It runs on bottled propane gas

Rang him today...Dave Farr does not do gas anymore..

Any other recommendations?

Totally useless... we tried them... I wouldn´t mind but we bought the fire from them....and they fitted it really well and it looks great.

and then...

The fire would not light very easily, it kept going out intermittently, and was a real problem...we had only had the fire for a few months so it was under guarantee..

They came, opened it up, tinkered with it and then said there was nothing wrong with it. I am no gas engineer so what could I do? They said a service charge for coming out for a false alarm was 40 euro...so we paid it.

For months after they came the fire worked fine. In other words they had fixed it but said there was nothing wrong with it...and the fire under guarantee cost me 40 euros .

So, thanks for trying to help but no thanks, I would not recommend Ambifuego to anyone.
