Historic UK Kit Car - need recommendation for reg etc

Hi my 1972 Spartan Roadster arrives in Spain today.

I was trying to sell it in UK but failed to do so and had no alternative to bring it here and attempt to get it all legal here.

So,

I know it will need registering and plates changed

and it will need an ITV

and

It will need to be insured

and

In order to comply with Spanish regs will need a few modifications which I am completely happy with

What I really need is someone who comes recommended who can sort all this out for me.

Any recommendation folks?

Speak to Leigh at Spanish Number Plates. This company have been reregistering cars, bikes, vans etc in Spain for many, many years. Very knowledgeable and extremely helpful so they should be your first port of call to enquire.

They don’t clean swimming pools or paint houses, they only deal with re-registration and transfer of foreign vehicles. Web link below

I second that, Leigh does awesome work and he has all the right connections to get modification work done if needed as well.

Wow, is this the kitcar based on a triumph Herald? I haven't seen one of these in years.

is it on a "Q" plate? or age related plate? This could make a big difference.

I will make contact with each of your recommendations.

It was originally based on the Triumph, this base is the Cortina MK11

I hopefully will get this all sorted and the car will be able to be ogled around town on a regular basis.

It's on age related B+W plates currently and will be a shame to see them go, however, if successful, I can't see a better place for enjoying this car which was born to be driven without the hood really.

He changed mine over from English to Spanish over 2 years ago.

You'll probably have to homologate the car here in Spain. It will be costing a lot of money and probably would of been much cheaper to bargain sell it in the UK. I looked into re registering my classic before last Xmas to save money but ran out of time before Brexit. Now it'll cost me 30% more. I'm still working on mine so haven't moved any further with the process.
