Moving boxes to spain with the help of Fred at FMTransport

Postby blackvelvet » Wed Jun 25, 2014 1:01 am

We needed to get some household items to our holiday home in Quesada.
Including a bbq, microwave and other smaller items three boxes in all.
Sent email to Fred at FM Transport last week. As we are over in a couple of weeks
Was hoping we could get them there for then.
Anyway Fred rang about nine tonight apologising for not calling sooner as was out the country.
He listened to me explaining what we had , with me having no clue at all
At sizes of boxes, he assured me and gave me a couple of options on how our delivery could be achieved.
He said he would see what he could do, but in any case had a van going on Monday,
Just a matter now if getting our stuff to Luton. Told me not to worry he had a plan but
Would need to make a few phone calls.
Anyway within half an hour he called back to say someone would pick up our boxes tomorrow
He would email us the details of how to pay (he had already said a price)
Our boxes will be delivered to our holiday home once we are there.
Anyway, it was then one mad rush to get items packed as hubby had to dismantle bbq to fit in box!
But within two hours from talking to Fred all was sorted including packing.
I think that's excellent and Fred is a real pleasure to deal with, with a very good sense of humour.
I will let the forum know if it all works out as planned.
So if you need anything taking anytime get in touch with Fred, he will talk you through your requirements, I got in touch as I am sure someone else on this forum recommended him
Thank you Talk Quesada.
Ooh ps we didn't want to buy a bbq over there as we had a brand new one we hadn't used
We also had brand new microwave which is higher spec and would have been more expensive over there, other stuff is general household like cutlery and kitchen stuff.

Thanks blackvelvet. It's so helpful to us all when we get a follow up on a recommendation.

Look forward to hearing how it works out.

Well going according to plan so far. Courier just arrived to take our boxes to Fred at FM Transport Luton more than punctual time given was 1.30 ish, however two men with van arrived just moments ago. In smart work wear and very polite, boxes now on way.
Will keep you up to date when I get any progress report.
