New kitchen recommendations

Postby Sugary » Wed Jun 27, 2018 3:46 pm

Want to either have new cupboard doors fitted, or a new kitchen but it depends on cost.
Can anyone recommend for either or both? Want it really nice but don’t want to spend a fortune. Many thsnks

Agree with Cocina Farely. They did mine in January and I am so pleased with it.

We have had three kitchens in different houses over the last 18 years manfactured & fitted to a very high standard by Dathamar in Formentera/Heradades. We found them on each occasion to be much cheaper, a better choice of door, worktop etc & far friendlier than we ever found Farleys to be. They also came out some six years after one was fitted & replaced two self closing drawers that had become "self opening" completely free of charge.
Only minor issue is no English spoken, however they fully understand what you are asking & will make suggestions on how to improve things, again clearly but without speaking English.
Regards,
Dave

http://www.thekitchenshop.es/ -La Marina Urb.

They fitted our kitchen and helped us design it from scratch to make best use of the available space. They also allowed us to source our own appliances and sink and willingly installed them. They were very efficient and friendly and recommend exceptional tradesmen for tiling etc. They were the lowest of 4 quotes, including Cocinas Farely, and, although the payments were staged, they were the only company that asked for the final payment only when the project was completed to our satisfaction. Highly recommended.

Lordswood in Los Montesinos has just refurbished my neighbour's kitchen: doors, drawers, matching end panels and bridges, including composite stone worktops, stone sink and hob for Eu 4,600. I wasn't expecting to be impressed, but they've done a super job.

Surprising the different perceptions people can have about traders.
We are also looking into getting a new kitchen (completely gutting the old one). We have asked around from neighbours who have had them done and some of those mentioned on here have got pretty poor reports. Bits missing, not the right type, waiting ages for parts to arrive and so on.
Others, using the same companies, give them top marks where nothing went wrong and they got exactly what they wanted. Must depend on the day.
Like Elchedave says Cocinas Farely didn't appear friendly yet we asked for a quote, got a very helpful lady who accompanied the designer and suggested things we hadn't thought of (small kitchen but they fitted things in we didn't think possible). Same as the colour and material. We had a couple of choices and she suggested a mix of the two and gave us a computer projection of how it would look. A couple of tweaks and it looked perfect.
We have four quotes (2 from those mentioned on here) and haven't yet decided on which one to go with but Cocinas Farely are looking favourite (2nd highest quote but not far off the bottom two, the most expensive was a little ridiculous for the size of our kitchen).
Got one more to go to in Torrevieja (although I would prefer one a bit more local in case of problems) and then decide on what we want and who to go with.

For me it wasn’t just about the money, the quality of the units, the fitting, the professionalism all came into play and the finished product is superb. It is hand made and hand fitted so not a gap to be seen for creepy crawlies. And I absolutely love my pull out larder and eye level dishwasher.
