Pool Re-Grout

Postby Reider » Mon Aug 03, 2020 1:41 pm

We are going to have our pool re-grouted after the summer, and wondered if anyone has had theirs done using an epoxy grout. If so what is your opinion of it, did you get a local trades person to do it. Any recommendations and options welcome.

Thanks

Hello we were thinking of using epoxy and did some research, a few pool companies we asked said it would cost double the price if using epoxy, because it’s more expensive and it’s much harder to work with. We also asked other builders re pool and they said the same. Yes it last longer but a devil of a job to remove when the next regrouting is required - normally as you know a good power wash removed a lot of the old grout.
We also used PH minus instead of agriferte (if this is the spelling) as it’s more powerful - however you have to use industrial breathing mask (filter on the side) as I’m sure you know it’s very strong, of course usual clothing protection.
Best of luck.

We had ours done a couple of years ago and used leaktec to do it.. don't know what they used but at the time he did say to us that he was using what he considered to be the best grout ..we have been pleased with it .
