replacing balustrades with glass

Postby Bhoy1967 » Wed Jun 10, 2020 6:31 am

Good Morning. we are thinking about removing the concrete balustrades that sit on top of our wall and replacing with either white or obscure glass. About 40 meters all in.

Has anyone had this done? If so can you recommend someone and roughly how much it cost.

Thank you.

If your on a community you may need community and/or town hall approval. Also may be a height restriction of 1.8m overall check with your town hall

Thanks for the replies, I will call into the Glaziers at San Miguel.

We are not on a community, so ok on that front and i have made enquiries at the town hall, I would need to advise on materials we want to use and also provide a sketch as our wall to the top of balustrades is less than 1 1/5 meters, but its almost 3 meters on the neighbours side, So hopefully no issue.

I've been told they are a nuisance to keep clean but I have no experience myself?

We have them, we have clear glass and they get dirty just like windows. I just use fairy liquid and a squeegee and they are lovely. Our neighbour has the opaque glass and they don't seem to show the dirty marks so much.
