Hi Penny
Have you got any further with Cosy Casa? I have just instructed my solicitor to take out a burofax (a list of requirements that need correcting) against Cosy Casa. Apart from a list of lots of "minor" issues, they have left me with 8 holes in the roof, three of which where the water has already punched through holes through my ceiling, letting water into my house. The boiler I was sold is a lower capacity I was quoted and paid for. And that leaks as well. CC had left me with 10 days of no water pressure and no hot water. All the while they keep blaming other tradesmen's bad workmanship. Now that the burofax has been issued we will see. I am prepared to take them to court, if necessary.
I wish I had seen this website before I engaged them and if I had I would never have engaged them. I sincerely wish they had never set foot on my property. DO NOT use this company.
Also having problems getting the burofax send to their correct registered address as the one of their letterhead does not seem to exist.

Hello there
That is shocking what they’ve done to you.
We had to give up in the end because we cannot find out where to get our Consumer Affairs complaint issued to them. We don’t want to get lawyers involved as what we are owed isn’t worth it and all the faults they’d left us with, we paid to have fixed in the end. What you are suffering though is much worse than what we had. Similar things such as gas boiler problems central heating parts and radiators falling off walls, leaking filtration system, kitchen cupboards that don’t shut/not straight. Why they are still in business, astounds me. The CAB authorities tried 3 or 4 times to present them with our complaint from the address on their website but, no one was there and neighbors had said that they had not seen anyone come or go from the place for months. Their showroom in Benjiofar has been closed since before Christmas. No one responds from their website. We did actually see the owner, Kirk Thomas, driving his Van on the road from Aspe to Elche about a month ago. I wanted my husband to force him to pull over as stupid me was thinking we could do a Van Diesel from the Fast and Furious movies but my husband was sensible and didn’t. Ha ha
One lady on this forum, who paid a deposit for them to install a swimming pool and then came back to say they couldn’t as they didn’t have licence to install one. She didn’t get her deposit back and hired a lawyer to fight the case. This was at least 6 months ago. We communicated for a while but I’ve not heard from her in the last 3 months. Her lawyer was going to see if he could access the SUMA records to find an address for his company vans that he has to pay road tax on. Another lady on this forum got them to install central heating and they said that the CEPSA gas people would install the pipework in the road to her house for free and that was a load of bullshit (excuse my language) and she ended up paying 2,000 euros to have the pipe installed or have to live off gas bottles to run her central heating. They are despicable people. The owner, Kirk Thomas and even his son, Joel, lie through their teeth to get the work from you and leave you with masses of problems,
I wish you luck and please keep me informed as, if we find their home address, we will reactivate our CAB complaint and if you still haven’t succeeded in finding them, let me know. Here’s my personal email address: [Personal details removed for safety - please use PM]
Regards
Penny

Hi Penny
Thank you for your reply. This forum doesn't seem to let you know when there has been a reply.
Your personal email address has been removed, therefore I need to reply via this forum.
I have had a reply from Cosy Casa via email, confirming receipt of the report from the other solar company I commissioned to have an independent evaluation of the problems. CC denied most of it, was very rude about the other company. The "best" part was CC demanding that I make repairs to the roof first before they would be prepared to carry out any more work themselves.
I have contacted my solicitor (who only deals with the burofax) to now recommend another solicitor to take this matter to court.
Not sure if this will work, but I am on FB as Nat Lon, maybe we can connect via messenger that way.
I'll keep you updated, but my guess is that it will take rather a long time with the Spanish courts, and I will have to initially pay for the works myself to get my roof repaired. The recent storms only made the roof damage worse and will need to be seen to.

According to their web site Cosy Casa are working through the lockdown so why not somebody call them in for a quote then when they arrive block their van by you and a friend parking cars against it's front and rear bumpers then calling the Guardia and put them onto one of your our lawyers, that should get an address out of them - and maybe more.

Thought about that but not sure we can do that legally. What I wanted to do was gask a friend to ask for a quote and then we follow him home but again we didn’t know if that would be a safe thing to do and he knows our car.
Well think if something.

Hi there
We have found where CC lives and the CAB tried to issue our Consumer Affairs complaint but no one would answer the door so we’ve had to give this route up now. We’ve spent over a year trying to get the money back we paid to rectify they atrocious quality of workmanship. We’re moving on from the bad experience.
Anyone considering using them, DON’T!!!!!
