House burglaries.

House burglaries.

Montebello

Just a heads up, the thieves are at it again. We had 3/4 cases yesterday afternoon (broad daylight) We were lucky, the dog started first followed by us. I hear some poor young lady had all her contents removed. We were lucky to get to them before any real damage (a broken door lock and minor damage to the door.) The police chased them but lost out.

I remember couple of years back hey were targeting places with towels hung over balconies, I said then replace towels with dog leads, makes them think again.

This was posted on facebook by a lady from Quesada, just wanted to share it.

"Please watch out for 2 women in their late fifties. One is blond and the other dark haired. Today they were dressed in shorts and tops and they each wore a towel over one shoulder. They drive a red (rust red) Renault Senic of some age and the registration number probably begins with a 7. More than once they have entered private homes and gardens in our community in Quesada."

A forced entry is a bit different to a walk in opportunity. A lot of Insurance Companies won't pay out if they think you didn't take enough precautions. Somebody needs to find out the correct procedure regarding the Police for this type of Crime.
