Key Safes

Key Safes

Postby white_hart » Thu Aug 25, 2016 8:54 pm

We're considering getting a "key safe" for our property. The villa is used as a holiday rental, and although it is managed by an agent who is happy to "meet and greet" our guests, we're thinking of those people who return for second and subsequent times, who don't need to be shown around.

Something similar to this...

Does anyone know just how sturdy they are, or is general opinion that they might be easily "smashable", thus allowing (relatively) easy access to some unscrupulous folk...?!!!

i would have that open with strike of a hammer or off the wall and away to come back another time.
bad idea to have that kind of invitation.

That's pretty much what I thought, so it's good to get that second opinion!

Strange thing is that apparently these things are a "requirement" in the USA if you let out your property...it was a friend of mine who lets out a property in Florida who suggested them!!!
