Thanks to Colin, president for Rojales Hills 5, for letting us know about this very worrying incident. Sadly if it happens in one area, it could quickly happen in other so always be aware....

Could you please imform people that the muggers/robbers are out and about as last night wed the 25th of may at around 10-30pm a neighbour of mine was followed home from work from one of the restaurants in Benimar by a male in a white car she believes was a mitsubishi when she got out of her car at home in Calle Zafiro Benimar the male got out of his car ran upto her and punched her but as she tried to fight him off he managed to steal her bag and then drove off. The police were called but obviously he had long gone.

Thanks for the warning. Sorry to hear this but the message is to maybe play safe and not carry a handbag if at all possible or anything obvious that may be valuable, same as in any country,particularly if walking alone and/or at might.
