It's just to be on the safe side as a few members have expressed concerns of 'innocent until proven guilty' which is a fair point - I expect the photo was circulated well before it came on here as it came from another forum anyway.

Everyone stay vigilant and secure and have a happy Christmas.

Would you like someone to take your photo while you are not doing anything wrong and post it on a robbery topic on here or any other forum? I wouldn't!

The police have the photo anyway. They can look into it. It's not for us to be judge and jury!

If anyone took my pic whilst I was going about my business and passed it to the police I would take legal action. Not nice.

Big difference glassman. People taking CCTV are regulated, People taking possible, and I stress possible suspects photographs is a violation of personal rights.Out of interest I have been robbed but completely against what you feel is right.

I think you will find statistically that there is no more happening than has always been happening. It's just that we hear more about them and that is a good thing for us all to make sure we stay secure.

As Bamber Gascoigne used to say after 'crimewatch' don't have nightmares ..just keep 'em peeled.

When we first bought our house 11/12 years ago there was a spate of robberies and I became very nervous but it made us more security concious and things calmed down and now we hear about burglaries occasionally but taken in perspective it's a small problem (obviously not a small thing to those who experience them but 'small' in relation to the many people who live and holiday happily in Quesada all the time with no problems.)
So don't have nightmares but just stay aware as we should do wherever we live or holiday.

I totally agree with most of that. We have been in Quesada for 8 years now and, yes, we do hear of burglaries. Most are opportunistic (doors being left open and so on). I was robbed three times in UK in the space of 5 years and that was in a little village and i feel much safer here although I do have rejas (properly filled) on all windows and doors, make sure the back door is locked when we are the front (and vice versa) and so on.

However, I can't quite agree Bamber Gascoigne (he of University Challenge fame) ever said keep em peeled. Shaw Taylor on Police 5 (not Crimewatch) if I recall.
