external boxes can be silenced easily with a can of expanding foam, many different ways of bypassing other forms of deterent.so i'm sorry to say that no matter what you do if they want in they will get in.question is level of damage done getting in and quality of insurance you have.5 minutes is a vacation for a burglar 2-3 and they are down the street with the loot!!!!!

Comments about "if they're determined to get in, they will" are true, however, most of the time, they're not that determined to get into your particular house. (unless they know that there's something in there that they want, that they can't get anywhere else, more easily) Burglars will go for the least risk/most reward, on virtually every occasion.
If your house is well protected and your neighbour's isn't as well protected, they will burgle your neighbour, rather than you. It sounds a bit callous, but you've got to make them think that they should leave your place alone and go and burgle someone else's house (because, if they're determined or desperate, they're going to burgle somebody)

Had a fold up bike ,helmet and lock stolen from my garage Friday morning. Think it was an opportunist my husband had just open door to get something out and walked away for a bit and when he went back it was gone. I live off main road not far from the the school in Quesada.

Why not join a neighborhood watch we have them here I am the co-ordinator for our area its easy to form and you can have signs made to put up for a small fee, a
If anyone is interested I can send the information and who to contact.

We had loads of breakins up here and they have been reduced to virtualy seased, we have also had built a security building at the entrance to the urbanisation not every one are able but this has also stopped the crimes.
