Suggestion - Share on the forum 'break-in' details

Postby Janjan » Tue Jan 26, 2016 3:01 pm

Hi Jan
Wasn't sure where you write this but would it be helpful when villas have been broken into for folk to share how they got in, to warn others to take precautions. Don't know if this has been covered before over the years but with so many new owners around.

Yes good idea.I have made a new topic for you in this security forum.
Obviously no personal details like addresses etc but possibly the basic area and as you say how they broke in. This could help us all to be extra careful.

We live in Quesada, near Reccoral Parc.
No police patrols in the neighbourhood during the WE????

I'm in the UK at the moment, but I received this via email, the day before yesterday.
"It has been reported that two break ins occurred in the Rio Mundo area of Benimar at around 3a.m on Friday 22nd January. Both properties were unoccupied with the owners in the UK. I do not know if the properties were alarmed. In both cases access was obtained by the grilles being forced with a car jack stolen from a local car. In the first property jewellery and small items were taken. As there were no keys available no larger items were taken.
In the second, patio doors had been forced and the lounge window smashed using a large boulder from the rockery. A large smart tv was taken and all drawers had been searched The Guardia Civil are involved." They must have been happy that no-one was around to hear them, using a rock to smash a patio window.

Didn't know myself so I googled it. If you're coming from Quesada, past the Aquapark, there's a small park, a couple of hundred yards before you reach the roundabout where you can turn left, into Benimar. It's the area beyond the park there. All the streets are named after rivers and Calle Rio Mundo seems to be roughly in the middle.

Hi, I've seen this on another Facebook page this morning: It would appear that opportunists are out & about once again....

Burglary yesterday, Just this minute had a report about a villa broken into on Calle Galicia, Quesada
The Owners are back in Germany and the man who keeps his eye on the property, about an hour ago found the door kicked in and the grill forced. On a quick inspection the TV is missing and also a safe that was not fixed to anything. Alarm was not working. At the moment neighbours are trying to make the house secure. Apart from your valuables missing it must be a very worrying time when you are not even in the country.

Be on the lookout.....

Burglars about in Lo Pepin. We've had a number of break ins over the past couple of weeks in nearby properties and we confronted three mask wearing teenage b********* making a break for it through our front gate after being disturbed by neighbours the other night. Our next door neighbour was also broken into a few weeks ago and barbeque and other stuff went missing from another nearby house.
