If you have year round internet, you can buy Kasa internet socket plugs, that you can set up very easily, you can then turn on a heater or fan, turn on the pool pump or lights, the nest central heating switch can also operate your central heating. You can set your aircon onto timer and have it come on once a week for 2-3 hours to cool the house, also if you have german blinds you can open them very slightly and leave your bathroom windows open if you have the metal security grills, all will keep your house free from damp and condensation, we have also had the trip switched replaced with auto reset ones, if the electric trips 15 seconds later it resets automatically after 10 trips you have to reset it and recommends you call an electrician, Sparks electrical services fitted mine and very cheap too.. only had 1 electric auto trip in 2 years but it did not cause any issues and the freezer was on ok when we returned.

I leave my electric on to power my CCTV cameras and router (needed to be able to remotely view the CCTV cameras)
I also have outside lighting on PIR sensors, which are mains powered and a great deterrent for prowlers, and if you have an alarm then you need the power on for that too.

that's fair enough, my alarm works off a battery, batteries kept up to date with a regular service for insurance purposes,i agree its a good deterent having cctv, and viewing it while away in uk , but what can you do about it if you spot an intruder except ring the Guardia,or a trusted neighbour or key holder, but good for peace of mind,
